Till Aly travaille comme chef d’orchestre au WDR à Cologne, à Stuttgart, où il est chef invité du SWR Vokalensemble à Berlin, en Italie, à l’Opéra de Minneapolis, en Corée du Sud, au Luxembourg et à Paris, où il dirige  l’Orchestre et le Chœur Europa Voce. Il interprète des œuvres du répertoire symphonique et contemporain et a travaillé avec des compositeurs comme Javier Torres Maldonado, Brian Ferneyhough et Iannis Xenakis.

Biography
Till Aly is the Music Director and Conductor of the French Chamber Orchestra and Europa Voce. He conduct’s a concert season with symphonic repertoire, concertos, oratorios and contemporary music. During this season he is performing works by Ravel, Fauré, Franck, Milhaud, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Haydn and Mozart. He will also conduct premiers by David Chaillou, Paolo Cavallone and others in the Oratoire du Louvre.

As a guest conductor Till Aly has worked with Radio France, the SWR in Stuttgart, in Berlin, in Milan, with the Europa Chor Akademie, the Orchestre de l’Ile de France, the MDR Leipzig, the Capella Sagitariana and the WDR in Cologne.  

Till Aly has worked with composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Javier Torres Maldonado, Pierre Boulez, Pascal Dusapin, Brian Ferneyhough and has conducted many premières. Till Aly frequently gives concerts in Milan, Berlin, Paris and played in the United States, South-America, the Middle East and Asia. He has also been featured with the European Bach Festival and the Euroclassic Festival. In 2009 he has been invited by the Barenboim-Said Foundation to give concerts and classes in the Middle East.  

As a conductor and pianist he has recorded for Radio France, the WDR, SWR, Hänssler, Deutschlandfunk and Ambiente works of the following composers: H. Berlioz, I. Pizzetti, F. Couperin, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, F. Mendelssohn, R. Schumann, F. Schmitt, F. Poulenc, M. Reger, P. Hindemith, A. Riou, E. Bloch and D. Shostakovich.  

Till Aly studied music in Berlin, Dresden, New York and Paris. He studied conducting  with Jorma Panula, Fabio Luisi, Sylvain Cambreling, Hans Christoph Rademann, Gustav Sjökvist and Helmuth Rilling. He studied piano with Vladimir Feltsman and the organ with André Isoir and Raphael Alpermann.  
Till Aly also completed advanced studies of contemporary music at the Ircam Institute/Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris and with Iannis Xenakis at the Akademie der Künste of Berlin.  

In 2002 Till Aly received the Young Artist Award from the French Government.
