...In the history of landscape architecture appears in the XVIII century small
elegant houses named ‘Folies’. These houses where considered as being far away
from the “official word”, where strong social codes and ‘restrictions’ were
dominating. It was places where the owner could feel free.
Other more discrete, but nevertheless important constructions, appear in the
landscape round 1884; the so-called allotment gardens. Although built for
practical individual use, they quickly turned out to be a free spot for the
worker and his family, a place of one's own.
The WhiteBox@ project offers the artist, a kind of free space, situated in the
context of the official gallery  room. Un espace autre (a space elsewhere) or we
could say, a kind of "Héterotopie" to use the term by Michel Foucault.
What also inspires me in this project is that I will present an installation, which
for the first time, the spectator cannot walk around and discover. There is only
one possible point of view. It suggest a room where something may be hidden.
